Jupiter in Gemini

Jupiter the teacher and rich uncle of the planetary family is ending it's year long transit through Gemini and moving into cancer where it is more dignified and hopefully the high hopes of Jupiter will manifest as more substantial and genuine. Let's hope!  This is excellent news for everyone especially for with Sun and Moon in Cancer and a few others whom I will write about in the upcoming article on Jupiter in Cancer.

But first, let us look at where we have been and where we are now with Jupiter wraps up his year long tour through Gemini.

Mind Expansion

 Gemini (♊), an Airy and mental sign, expresses itself as thought, communications and writing.

It is the discovery of idea and understanding of function and mechanism. It's novelty, curiosity and mental hum of activity. When planets travel through this sign it activates our desires to engage intellectually and to share with others what we have learned in speech and writing.

Jupiter is the planet signifying philosophy, knowledge, Joy, hope and growth. Jupiter in Gemini Expands our ideas, grows our need to learn, talk, write and calculate. Our hopes rest in ideas -big ideas- and if we can make the right choices, cut out the chatter and focus, we can manifest the best qualities of a particular planet as it transits.

 It's a time when we find joy in these Gemini themes or where these things show up in our lives in large amounts.

 It's often It's a time where we are enthusiastic about learning and our ability to study is easier. However for some we may get a new job or promoted  but then be obligated to go through a training program. We may not exactly be enthused to be in a crash course of study but we will likely be excited by the prospects of a new job and perhaps making more money than ever. Even if not exactly enthused about learning and perhaps unusually busy with study and training in new skills we may find that we learn easier or quicker than we had expected. When all is said and done it will seem as though we grew very quickly in an area of expertise and our world is just a bit larger because of it.


High Hopes
 People with a little bit of knowledge or experience put a lot of fear into the planet Saturn and they give and equally inordinate amount of hope to Jupiter. Jupiter transits stir up hope and sometimes that hope pays off but other times it fails to live up to our expectations. It's important to remember that Jupiter is also Philosophy, world-view and knowledge. These things will expand our lives during a Jupiter transit and can enhance our lives in subtle ways, but often they get forgotten when we are focusing on easy money and free lunch during a Jupiter transit.

At best Jupiter is a sign of the things we desire: happiness, success and understanding our place in the world. At worst it is excess, overconfidence, hubris, ego-inflation and lack of discrimination.



Full Of Hot Air

Jupiter was in it's "detriment"during it's year long course through Gemini. Detriment is a debilitated, weakened state when a planet is residing in the sign opposite the sign they rule. Gemini is Opposite from Sagittarius the sign Jupiter rules and is at "home". So, in Gemini, Jupiter is "away from home" and not as strong and when in challenging aspects to a natal chart the effects tend to excess, exaggeration or inflation (which is often preceded by collapse).

Other effects that could be considered failing Jupiter's highest potential are Gossip, fickleness, indecision, inability to make a decision for an abundance of options, information overload, over-processing and motor-mouth. Jupiter is a fiery planet and when combined with Gemini we can tend to get full of "hot air". We may be so enthusiastic that we make decisions, commitments or take risks without fully reflecting on the consequences and we may up buying a "pig in a poke".

On Good Terms
Jupiter was elevated a bit by in it's "term" which is a special degree of space in Gemini that gives Jupiter a break. In Gemini the Term of Jupiter is between 6 and 14 degrees.  Here Jupiter was saved from it's detrimental position and it's effects were a bit more positive. It was in Term (and in direct motion, not retrograde) from Jul 14 2012 to Sep 3rd and then again Feb 19 2013 to April 17th. Think back to when that was and see if you can tell a difference. Sometimes it's very difficult to really remember what we were feeling unless we commit ourselves to  a Journal of some sort or are really paying attention. Again it's most pronounced when it makes aspects to your natal chart. If not it may be hard to really notice.

 *Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury and your natal mercury, it's condition and if it's being "helped or afflicted" by other planets will reveal how positive or negative the transits through Gemini will be.

Aries - 3rd house: The Mind, writing and communications, siblings and neighbors, errands and movement within your local area, plans, media. This is the Natural house of Gemini so it's themes will be unmodified by house placement. Aries is a sign of direct simplicity and this is one way that is experienced: The signs are unmodified, simple and direct. Remember, aspects from Transiting Jupiter to your chart will still add elements and modify things as will your relationship to Jupiter in the birth chart and the condition of your natal Mercury.

Taurus -2nd House: Self worth, money, wealth and finances, personal assets and values. This tends to be a positive place for Jupiter as it can bring in wealth and assets but money can be spent as easily as it comes in. Intellectual assets and copyright could be found here so buying domain names, investing into intellectual property and the like may be a way to make money during this time. If you are owed money you may have been getting a lot of excuses why it's hasn't yet appeared. 


Gemini - 1st House:   Identity, self-assertion, selfishness, personal demands, the Face and outer appearance. This is a powerful place for Jupiter to transit which means the best and worst are experienced and they will likely be expressed by yourself rather than some specific area of life. You will express more Jupiterian traits and the Gemini qualities within you will be hard to miss and even exaggerated. During this phase we tend to be full of hope and optimism and willing to take big risks particularly when Jupiter moves over your Ascendant degree. Even if things aren't perfect in our life we will have a kind of buoyancy and faith that things will work out in the long run. Like the7th we may encounter Jupiterian types in our lives. We could also BE Jupiter and find ourselves being especially generous in our one-on-one relationships.


Cancer - 12th House: Hidden issues, self-undoing, secret or private issues, retreat, co-operation, hospitalization, retirement, completing old issues, subconscious drives and issues which harm our conscious will. This is a subtle place for Jupiter (or any planet) to be if you aren't going to an Ashram or monastery to meditate and get away. Here we have energy and enthusiasm to retreat from the world and perhaps finish up old projects. This is the 'incubation house' where we are prepairing for a new cycle when Jupiter moves into the 1st. This is also the house of self-undoing and taking risks might end with us shooting ourselves in the foot so take care when engaging Jupiter themes: travel, education and issues surrounding broadcasting, the law and the Court systems as it could backfire. These things might be active in a secret or hidden way such as Pirate radio, secret courts or clandestine travel or travel to sanctuaries.

Leo - 11th House: Groups, friends and Acquaintances, networks, cliques, Hopes, dreams, gains, personal and shared goals. This is a rather fun and advantageous place for Jupiter to be. In the east it is known as the house of "gains and acquisitions". In the west it is called the house of "hopes and dreams" Both kind of dovetail into one another when you think about it. The house is also of friends and peer groups and the gains that can be made often come through the help of friends. It's a socially active time so if you have been bored or feeling idle Jupiter here will get out of the house and roll with a posse.  Be careful not to waste time partying when you could be getting projects off the ground or making dreams a reality. This house is also politcal groups, church organizations the chess club, naked lady clothing trade parties, beach blanket bingo, hair club for boys and the barbie liberation front.


Virgo - 10th House: Career, profession, position in society, public standing, reputation, authority figures, bosses, fathers, awards, responsibilities, desire for achievement. This is a positive place for Jupiter in general as it is a sign of  accolades and success in career and general popularity as well as starting or expanding a venture or buisness. This is a time where you are seen as fulfilling your role in society, perhaps as a speaker, writer, technician or some Gemini-ruled field. You could also be working in a non-Geminian field but with Geminian bedside manner with which you put into your work. This is a time to really go for it and work hard as we are being witnessed by our clients, peers and superiors. Later when Jupiter moves into your 11th house you will have more time to socialize and have fun.


Libra - 9th House: Travel, education, philosophy, teachers, foreigners, legal issues, courthouses, broadcasting and publishing. Studies and teachings are important now. You have an opportunity to learn about a certain field and this may come from a general sense of curiosity and a need to expand your mind with training or teachings of some sort. If you are a teacher this will be a significant year for you and the same goes for people who work in all forms of education, mentorship, Lawyers, Judges, writers and media broadcasters. You will travel or have the opportunity to travel at this time. Other's around you may be traveling and returning with stories and experiences from afar they may be native to your home or from faraway places themselves.


Scorpio - 8th House: intimacy, sexuality, psychological and occult matters, shared resources, inheritance, credit, loans, personal power of regeneration. Money can be gained through others which can be as simple as credit card and as life changing as an  inheritance from a dead relative or finally getting funding from a kickstarter campaign. During Jupiter's transit through the 7th house some of you may have met some supportive new friends or even a marriage partner. During this phase you may begin to share resources or combine wealth to start a business or venture, buy a home, ect. This is a time where sexuality and intimacy will be important but probably not very casual. For some learning about secret, esoteric or occult subjects will be thematic and it certainly goes with the Scorpio rising vibe. Some of those subjects may include Psychology, self-help, social-dynamics rather than becoming a black (or purple) Magician.

Sagittarius - 7th House: marriage, partnership, close friends, rivals, open enemies and all important one-on-one interactions. Like the 1st house, this is a powerful house for a planet to be traveling through and it is a time where significant relationships are initiated, developed or abandoned. With Jupiter the theme is growth and during this time you may notice that you encounter several new and helpful friends who open the world up for you in some way. Your world can be expanded by philosophies or world-view that comes via your associtates and some of the friends may themselves be a bit more wealthy, sophisticated, educated or cultured in some way. Encounters with them will rub off on you so stop wasting time with people who bring you down and make an effort to spend time with those who can bring you up. We may also have great faith in our friends or lover. Make sure it is based on substance and that they can live up to your expectations


Capricorn - 6th House: health & illness of physical body, work, service, routines, habits, co-workers, hired workers and staff. If you are looking for work this has been a boon in that many opportunities will come your way. Again, some of these may be fleeting or fail to meet promises made. health and hygiene habits come easier now and it's a time where we might have the inspiration to join a gym and perhaps even stick with it. Jupiter is ideas, philosophy and teachings so you may be making a routine of study or you could be brushing up on diet and nutrition information. Pets also rule this house and we might desire to get a pet or we could find oursleves taking care of a pet by happenstance.


Aquarius - 5Th House: Love affairs, dating, games, fun, play fullness, entertainment and entertaining, performance arts, creativity, pregnancy and children. Like the 11th house this tends to be a pleasurable and fun transit especially for dating, sex and creativity. It is the house of speculations so taking action on a hunch may pay off. Romantic affairs started now will be especially indulgent and joyful or the romantic options will be especially abundant during this time. If you have been single, this is a good time to meet someone or two or three. It is the house of children so some people may be starting -or trying to start- a family. If you have children this will be an especially developmental and likely joyful transit for the both of you. Them personally and you vicariously.
 
Pisces - 4th House : Home &; family, houses, rentals, renovations and relocating,  roommates and all who live in the home. Like 1st, 7th and 10th this is a powerful and significant place for Jupiter to transit. For some the benefits will come through family ties while others wont notice too much but will see that their family is doing well and prospering. Life passages may be experienced vicariously through family. For others they will relocate or find themselves in a phase where staying at home is especially beneficial. Some may work from home others may move to a larger home or an apartment without roommates. Some may begin to lay a foundation for a family and when Jupiter moves into the 5th they may attempt to conceive.

♀☐♅ - Venus Square Uranus

♀☐♅ - Venus Square Uranus today is exciting and unpredictable in the area of relationships, socializing and money. Expect the unexpected. Expect that unexpected to involve some friction or even shocks.

Love relationships that start today will have an electric charge but for many it will just be a flash in the pan. Lightning almost never strikes twice, so don't get your hopes up.

These are spring fling vibes. Don't expect anything stable to come of it.

Social events will have an erratic or even crazy buzz that will definitely be too much for some people. There is eccentric and then there is psychotic. How it looks depends on perspective. A few others will love this if they have been bored and needing to break out.

Like all these things it depends on how it's aspecting your natal chart. If you have planets at 12° degrees Cancer, Libra, Aries or Capricorn then make sure to ground yourself because lighting is about to strike.

New Moon Gemini - June 8 2013

I should have known I was going to be too busy traveling  to finish this up (the new moon was in my 9th house of travel), alas such is life. Here is a belated new moon report....

The Eclipse cycle is now completed and the intense wave of transformative energy, crisis and revealing is winding down and things are mellowing out. Thank the Gods!

This Fresh New Moon in the Air sign of Gemini will be a welcome change, like an open window allowing  for a fresh stream of Air and inspiration: a word meaning "to breath in". Mellow, this moon may be, by comparison at least. Inactive it most certainly will not be.

GEMINI
The Gemini glyph, a roman numeral 2 "II" is easy to read. It means duplicity or "multiple". When there are two (or multiple) sides of an issue the mind is stimulated by the variables. A choice must be made and when it comes to Gemini types, the choice will be in favor of whatever is new, novel and interesting.

The II is also represented pictorially as the mythic Twins Castor and Pollux who were brothers, one was mortal and the other divine. Castor, the immortal divine twin, was a legendary chariot racer and Pollux was an equally legendary Boxer. Both Arts involve an active mind and dexterity, particularly manual dexterity of the fingers and hands. Gemini is this sparkling mental dexterity and the nimble physical dexterity.


Dexterity comes from the Latin "dexteritatem" meaning "readiness, skillfulness, prosperity," it rooted in from the word dexter which means the above but also  the "right hand". For all but lefthanders (sinisters) we are more skilled with the use of our right handedness. That unconscious and natural skill is a part of the Gemini course:  The threading of a needle, the plucking of a guitar... The skills of mind and body.

"The pen is mightier than the sword" and Gemini is knows a thing or two about good penmanship or at least the oral dexterity and rapier wit that makes for good writing and clever wordplay. Writing, communicating and idea-making are providential to Gemini and so this time period is suited to these endeavors or initiating a regimen of practice that can yield to a skill.

As you can see in the picure below Gemini has two sides: a male and female who bear the caduceus, the wand of the God Mercury. It is represents several ideas but at it's most exalted it is the spiritual anchor in humankind: the spine and Pineal gland upon which Kundalini or spiritual enlightenment can arise. It is born aloft by the polarity of Masciline and feminine. This is divine illumination and pure intelligence.

 However, below the caduceus is a monkey holding aloft a globe. This monkey is the "ego mind" that can sometimes run amok and cause a lot of havok in our lives. Sometimes known as the "Ape of Thoth" and is attendant to Thoth, the Egyptian God who bears the identical features and virtues of the God Mecury and the greek Hermes. The ape of Thoth or "monkey mind" makes a great servant but a terrible master.

 This combination of "higher mind" and "lower mind" is reflected in the duality of Gemini.

Dark Side
A dark side of Gemini is duplicity and capricious mutability.  Gemini is a mutable sign and mutability and changeability can be an asset at times and very frustrating for others who might be depending on some measure of stability. Gemini even more so than some other mutable signs are known to be fickle and capricious. While in Pisces this can be inadvertent and as result of being ungrounded, with Gemini it often has to do with whatever is particularly interesting in the moment. 

At it's worst and most extreme, Gemini can exhibit the quality of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde dynamic where a personality flips to it's polar opposite and the Dark Twin takes over. This can happen in brief moments or it can result in dramatic lifestyle and personality changes. The former is more common and the major lifestyle and personality flips will tend to occur during a major transit to the Sun, Moon or Ascendant.

  

The new Moon makes no significant aspects to other planets save for the inclusion of Jupiter in the later degrees of Gemini, this is a good sign and adds a lot of content and fullness to the new moon perhaps bringing communications, tasks or ideas to a realm of excess. Much will be happening or at least there will be a feeling of much activity even if it doesn't seem to amount to much.

 I have written about Jupiter's detriment in Gemini in the past few articles. Jupiter is promise and Gemini, an Air Sign,  relates to communicaiton and words which carry through the air.  So,  in many (but not all) cases the promise of Jupiter has been empty "castles built in the air"or there was someone who is/was overconfident in how soon that promise might be delivered. Jupiter will influence this New Moon in a gnerally positive way and some promises will certainly come true however things may not as great as it looks in writing, so to speak.

Ave Abundantia! Venus & Jupiter Align in Gemini - May 28

About every year the Venus will align with Jupiter via the Conjunction, the most potent of all Astrological alignments. For those who have natal chart's that are aspected by this alignment it will be one of the more prosperous and lucky days of the year. Circle may 27 and 28 as both will be noteworthy for many of us. There are potential pitfalls here so do use common sense with feelings of optimism and faith and try to confirm the promises of other people. Check out the article on last month's Full Moon Eclipse in Sagittarius for more details on the pitfalls of this time period are generally the same and the effects of the Eclipse, while waning, are still at play.

 Venus, as many know, is love and beauty but she also represents money, gifts, art and social charm. In fact modern money comes from tokens that were given out at the temple of Inanna, later Ishtar goddess of grain, among other things.


These tokens were traded in for a tryst with one of the temple prostitutes who were seen as living avatars of the Goddess. Even today the term "bread" is slang for money all over the world and featured the Goddess on one side and a bushel of wheat on the reverse. Pennies were minted with sheafs of wheat on them as recently as the 20th century, It's just one of many ways these ancient stories live on.



So, Venus is money, in particular tokens of appreciation in the form of gifts.

 Jupiter, on the other hand, is abundance and wealth in the sense of land, home and business ownership, political power and influence that begets help and service from workers -the true value of what money represents. It is the power that comes from victory over the world and obstacles and with it the bounty of earth and heaven.

In the Natal Chart
When Venus and Jupiter align in the natal chart a person has very big ideas about and desire for love and the finer things in life. They can be blessed with wealth as well and frequently receive gifts and money from family, friends, lovers or whomever might be suggested by the placement of their alignment in the chart. Other times a person might be extremely generous and love to shower their loved ones with gifts and affections.  House placement will show where this occours in life; A Venus-Jupiter conjunction in the 4th house of Family, motherhood and home will be a Strong indicator of a very beneficial family and childhood for the native.


Transiting Venus Conjunct Jupiter

A natal chart placement lasts a lifetime but a day-to-day transit lasts just that: about a day or perhaps two. The effects are similarly pleasant and will depend on where the conjunction takes place and how it might align with your natal chart. If you are going through a tough time this day could ease things up a little bit or someone may attempt to alleviate your sufferings but it won't, in itself, neccisarily be a sign that your problem will suddenly disappear.

 Social life will be especially pleasant, perhaps you will be invited out to a gathering or someone will buy you dinner or buy you a  gift. If you are a collector or purveyor of art, antiques, clothing or anything charming and collectible (I'm fond of Japanese ceramic Elf figurines) you may find just what you are looking for in abundance or at an especially cheap price.

The inverse may be true, you could sell a collectible or valuable item for an especially high price -not everyone will experience this transit the same way. For some they could come into money or find a deal -for others they may SPEND money in great quantities. Both can happen simultaneously even to one person. You might get a great deal at a vintage shop and then to celebrate take someone out for dinner and spend a chunk of change.

 Easy come easy go with Venus and Jupiter.

*This lovely alignment of Venus Jupiter (and Mercury!) will be visible in the night sky during the next few days. of course in the sky it will be in in the constellation of Taurus!* 

May 24 - Full Moon Eclipse - Sagittarius

Finally! The last of three Solar Eclipses in a row is upon us completing a dramatic shift in circumstances and perspectives. It is my hope that the previous reports on the Eclipse helped you create a better reality and give you some perspective on where you are and how life might be unfolding.



This Full Moon Eclipse, like all others, will be an intense period of accelerated activity, change, crisis and critical events that change our worlds forever. This one is in the Sign of Sagittarius: the traveler, philosopher, leader and adventurer. Sagittarius is associated with and "ruled by" the planet Jupiter who is the principal of Expansion, growth and the necessary perspective that comes from physical (and intellectual) traveling. This perspective is one of optimism and possibility from reaching higher planes and new horizons. This same perspective and faith can be a medium for salvation ...or damnation.

Because Jupiter and Sagittarius are about optimism and faith it is likely that many will find this Full Moon Eclipse to be much easier and more enjoyable than the previous Scorpio Full Moon which had the hallmarks of severity, intensity, depth and power dynamics.

However, just because it feels good in the moment doesn't mean it's "Good" and a little bit of something good is not the same as a lot. Porportion is key here and Sagittarius is expansion, not balace (Libra). Sag likes a good thing and the more of it -the better.

The pitfalls of Jupiter and Sagittarius are excess, over-optimism and hubris.


Pitfalls

The dangers of this Moon are more possible now as it is both an Eclipse and it's "ruling planet" Jupiter is in the sign of it's detriment: Gemini. When a planet is in it's "Detriment" it expresses it's negative traits more often and it's positive elements are less likely to show up. Jupiter is growth and expansion and Gemini is speech and thought. Silence is golden and Jupiter here is anything but silent. Overabundance of information, being full of hot-air and false promises are common during this year long phase that is nearly at an end.


Adding to this is the fact that Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, conjunct Jupiter. Mercury is neutral yet powerful in Gemini, the sign it rules,  so this period will be one of significant increase of communications, information and promises. Be careful with making or accepting promises during this time and temper optimism and faith with realism because chances are you or someone else is going to muck it up.  Venus is also conjunct Mercury at this time which helps smooth things out and brings beneficial element but temperance and calm are still called for as it could just as well "flavor" the excess with Venusian themes: Love, luxury, money, gifts and beauty. Just because something nice is happening doesn't mean there isn't catch-22 hidden in there. Someone taking you out to dinner is nice -drinking too much wine and getting into an accident is not.

How all this plays out will depend on your natal chart and where these alignments are taking place. Those with Sun, moon, planets or ascendant in Mutable signs (Gemini, Mercury, Sagittarius, Pisces) will be most effected so take great. Those with Sun or planets in Air signs will be much more positively effected by this alignment.

Illusions of grandure
The Sun and Moon of the Eclipse is also in a tight "square" aspect with the planet Neptune who is known for Illusions, disillusionment,  distortions, dissolving, fog, glamour, disease as well as the transcendence above illusions, mysticism and spiritual themes.  In particular to these beneficial qualities are compassion and unconditional love for all -especially  those suffering from poverty and illness.

 While this challening addition of Neptune  ratchets up the possibility of having false faith, being deceived or being a victim of anothers glamour it also increases the likelihood of this time being one where spiritual themes gain ground and a shift towards more elevated consciousness. 






 Interestingly this comes just a week or so after a new outbreak of an exotic Corona virus (Jupiter in Gemini is known for respiratory infections) and a media spin-campaign by BP who poisoned the gulf with both an Oil spill and use of Corexit to disperse and conceal the catastrophe. Storms in the Midwest are increasing and the profile of this Eclipse is similar to Superstorm sandy in that it fell on a full Moon as Mercury squared stationary retrograde Neptune (a powerful period for a planet).
 Gemini = Air/wind and Neptune = water/rain/destruction.

Entertainment industry and Media are also expressing similar themes and the film 'Now you See Me now you Don't' is being released this weekend and is about stage magicians who use their skills to steal from the rich ruling class and give back to the poor - all Neptunian (and Mercurial) themes.

 Although there are pitfalls that are possible the alignment of Jupiter, Mercury and Venus (exacting a few days later on May 28th) it will have some very beneficial elements. For some it will be one of the most upbeat, lucky and expansive days of the year. That's not to say that those pitfalls won't ALSO be occurring simultaneously and in fact for many they will. But high spirits and benefit will certainly come. It's all about balance and temperance, of course these transits can show up as external events or other people. It could be a case of dealing with someone who is acting like Jupiter: high spirited, good-humored and fun -and they might take it just a little too far.


Summary
If you can avoid (or enjoy) the pitfalls this Full Moon will be beneficial and forward-moving time where life seems like an action packed adventure or journey. That journey may be dangerous or it may be joyful but is a journey we must all take, individually and collectively. The Eclipse exacts on Friday may 24th so some of you who are bold and adventerous will find this a great night to socialize.Remember though that the effects of an Eclipse can be felt or experienced many day and even weeks in advance and after the fact. New Moon Solar Eclipse - Taurus

This last Full Moon was a Lunar Eclipse in the intense and often brooding sign of Scorpio and was especially challenging with Saturn and mars, signs of austerity and severity, aligned with the Eclipse. It was a time for breakthroughs and regenerations of our identity and relationships but very often after a process of breakdown and crisis of some kind.

Scorpio is, in part,  about letting go. Consider the sexual metaphor: A man and woman give up a part of their bodies in the sexual act to create new life. Taurus, on the other hand, is about the fertile earth that harbors new life to grow and flourish. The Scorpio Taurus axis is one of Sacrifice and Reception and the opposing but necessary poles of putridity and fertility.

 Taurus is the sign of the fertility and wealth of the earth. The word Fecund is sometimes used which means "To make fruitful". Our fruits are relative to our labors and what we are working on, moment to moment and day to day will result in the flourishing of a particular fruit or outcome in our lives for good and for ill. Luckily we have astrology which shows us signs for sewing and reaping so our will can be in alignment with the will of nature. The sun's transit of the Aries and Taurus is a time for sewing, planting and initiating new projects and nurturing those seeds already planted. New moons are also times for initiation.

This new Moon Solar Eclipse will initiate new stories, events, problems and success within whatever house Taurus rules in our charts. There are no hard aspects to this Eclipse, so it will feel, in some ways,  easier and lighter than the last one however it will still be significant and evoking crisis for those whose natal charts are in combative alignments with it. And it should also be noted that mars is still in his detriment in Taurus and, if making difficult aspects to your natal chart, you could find locking horns with someone who, perhaps like yourself, is rather stubborn and unwilling to move on an issue. This other could also be an issue and making headway can be challenging unless we have already a well worn path to move through.

Venus, who rules Taurus and thus the Eclipse, will be in the first degree of Gemini and Mercury, ruler of Gemini, will be conjunct the New Moon. So talking, communicating and looking at two sides of an issue will be a big part of the stories being told right now. If you nearly burned a bridge or two at the last Full Moon, this could be a time to repair things and heal old wounds with words and communications.

Taurus is great for stability, sensuality, enjoying the fruits of one's labors, working with or in nature but it can be stubborn, rigid, inflexible and slow to get moving -just like a bull. So keep that in mind as the virtues and vices of the sign can really come out during these eclipses.
