Grand Sextile + Star of Saturn

I'm writing this after seeing quite a bit of hoopla on the Internet, the primary niche for hoopla in this Galaxy.

As I have spoken about a few times there has been an ongoing Grand Trine alignment between Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune. A grand trine is when three planets in a particular element share the same degree of their particular sign and create a large triangle in a horoscope.

A grand sextile or 6-pointed star  and is formed when another Grand trine forms whose apex is at the convex point of the other Triangle. It's a mixing of elements, in this case Earth and Water and represents a moment in time what there is a cosmic harmony between the creative impulse just behind materiality and the manifest universe. It's a time when we can bring elements from the emotional realms into the material in some way. Our level-headedness is balanced with our emotional reflectivity.

For some, whose birth charts align with this grand alignment, it will be an especially creative and stable time. But even then it will be fleeting and for most of us it will be a non-event. It might feel nice but don't expect angels to return with fruit baskets from the tree of eternal life.

The grand-sextile is a brief window with the transiting Moon the final piece of the arrangement in the afternoon of July 29th. After that the moment will be over. The grand Trine between Saturn, Jupiter and neptune is still somewhat in the air but it's prime is also passing.

A grand-sextile made between the planets (rather than the moon) is much more rare and significant as it lasts more than a mere hour or two. For most it's going to be a bit of a novelty and not a sign of the impending coming age of Aquarius or rapture as some easy breezy new-agers have been proclaiming one even calling it a "stargate". One group, the self-proclaimed "akashic wisdom keepers" (hows that for hubris?) say that this period is a "vibrational upgrade". Did it? Uh, no. Of course maybe I'm one of the "left behind".

The 6-pointed star represents the union of male/female (the two triangles) and it also represents all seven planets surrounded by the Sun in the center, as depicted in the image above. The hexagram is also sometimes referred to as the Seal of Solomon (soul of man) or more often, the Star of Saturn, the hidden sun. Saturn, as you may know is about maturity, discipline, seriousness  but also science, mysticism, and magic. To make magic or become a mystical adept you need to be disciplined and serious (not too serious!) and you must avoid falling into the trap of fantasy and delusion. Magic and attaining mystical states and "higher vibrations"  is Art & Science and requires discipline just like any other art be it the violin, ballet, mime or twerking.

It doesn't just happen one day on a whim.

So, while today can be a time revelation or manifestation in some way if we embrace it with forethought, hard work and persistence.  But, don't count on the fabric of the universe transforming in the course of the afternoon because we made a wish.

Sorry for being the devil's advocate on this.  Alas, the seal of Saturn is in the sky.
