Slow your roll there, Ladies and Gents: Mercury Retro and Direct 101
Mercury is about to end it's foggy retrograde cycle through Pisces but we are not out of the woods yet. It won't be until the 20th until Mercury starts moving forward and, Until then, it is actually the most powerful time for Mercury to be expressing it's wonkiness.
There are a lot of misconceptions about mercury retrograde. So for y'alls edification and such:

Most everyone knows about Mercury retrograde period and some understand that retrograde periods are when a planet appears to move backwards in the sky and is a cycle where the planetary virtues are turned inwards, backwards and skewed in some way. Like all of astrology this is symbolic.
Mercury rules the mind, words, writing, numbers, details, communications and the like. It's retrograde period does not cause relationship breakups, fights or generally "bad things" to happen though it can cause problems related to the things it generally corresponds to. Justin Beiber's hamster dying is not one of them (I actually read this) unless he accidentally misread "hamster poison" as "hamster food" and fed it to him. Then, yes, dang it.
Retrograde planets
A retrograde planet will effect you MOST when it is slowing down to the point where it appears to stop in the sky before going reverse or before switching forward again. Speed is more important than direction but forwards is still "better" than backwards only because it's going to stop and retrace it's steps. It isn't a curse though it can be very frustrating.
A planet stationing to go forwards or reverse will be making an aspect to one of your personal planets or points for it to be noticeable. However other people connected to you can be vicariously effected, as in the case of accidentally feeding someone 'people poison' instead of 'people food'.
Retrograde movement is not "bad". It can be but It can just as likely be good. it depends on other factors. There are many long-winded, wide-eyed and spiritual takes on retrograde processes being necessary for evolution and whatnot. I don't discount them but I'm not going to indulge in it either. Often it is a time when we realize an error not necessarily the time of the error itself though the realization is when we must deal with the mistake.
Planetary dignity or debility can be Good or bad, respectively and most noticeably when making aspects to you. Dignity is when a planet is in a sign it rules or has a special affinity with. Debility is when it is in a sign opposite the sign it rules or opposite a sign it has a special affinity with. Mercury is dignified in Gemini and Virgo and it is debilitated in Sagittarius and pisces.
I hope this clears things up and alleviates undue anxiety about this process for some people. You can't hide from life and we can't always wait for the stars to align in perfect symmetry before taking action, but listening to intuition and observing this process with proper awareness can help direct our lives in small but significant ways.

New Moon in Pisces
New Moon 21 degrees Pisces
Pisces is known for the soft dreaminess of the ocean at night but this period may seem a bit more turbulent than usual as there is a swirl of planets occupying Pisces including retrograde mercury which is about to turn direct. Mercury stationing direct is it's most powerful moment of this retrograde cycle. So, right now those waters may seem a bit more turbuent than usual especially for those with mutable rising signs, Piscse, sagittarius, Gemini and Virgo. Turbulence may be just what is needed, however and the movement may break us out of our ruts and get some much needed momentum.
Kicking up the possibilites of turbulence is that Pisces ruler, Jupiter in Gemini, the sign of it's detriment. Here Jupiter is more talk than action and his customary warm expasiveness has a tendency to turn into hot air and mixed messages. Increasing this susceptability of vice over virtue is that Gemini's ruler, Mercury is also poorly placed in the sign of pisces and is more confused than coherent. and, to make matters worse -er more pronounced(!), mercury in Pisces is in a tense square aspect to Jupiter where it is slowing down to stop in it's tracks and begin direct motion.
This stationary period is really where mercury retrograde gets it's bad reputation and, truth be told, it really only effects people who are being aspected by it personally ...and those talking to, relying or depending on the person being aspected. Even though Mercury will be going direct it doesn't mean we are clear of the whole retrograde menace as it will be stationary from March 16 to the 20th. Adn then there is the issue of it being in the sign of Pisecs until April 13th (my birthday!) where it is more suited to dreams than clarity.
As I said, you won't be feeling the more exasperating vibes of Retro Mercury unless is is aspecting you peronally and stationing to go direct or reverse. It goes direct March 16-20 at 5 Degrees Pisces so unless you have a personal planet or angle (rising sign, midhaven,ect) at 5 Pisces you will not experience it. Synchronicites: The fall of Rome?
Recently Lightning struck the Vatican as the pope announced resignation which came abruptly and among continuing acusations of aiding child rapists as well as criticism for being a former member of the elite SS youth brigade for the NAZI party. Photos of him engaged in NAZI salutes and standing before Adolf Hitler shocked many who came across the viral photos though they have been widley dismissed by true believers who seem unable to cope with the reality of the situation.
Today a second synchronicty signifying the fall of the catholic empire occoured as the pope released a dove as symbol of peace before a group of children and was soon attacked by an errant seagull. This is significant as the dove is a bird sacred to the Goddess of Love, Venus aka the greek Aprhodite (among many names to many cultures). In astrology venus is said to be “exalted” or especially well-placed in the sign of Pisces, a sign associated with Christ, the “fisher king”. Venus placed in Pisces equals, among other things, the pure love of Christ for humanity. As the Catholic and Roman empire colonized the pagan world they took venus, the symbol of the Goddess as their own gender-neutral symbol for peace and love.

Sixto Rodruiguez : Finding Sugarman
Though you may have never heard of him yet, mysterious folk-rock singer songwriter Sixto Rodruiguez is quickly becoming a world-wide superstar as the film Looking For Sugarman, a biopic and detective story of his unusual life, is seeing a wider distribution now that it has been nominated for an academy award. After a promising start recording with some of the great producers of the 1960's/70s his expected success and popularity was a no show and the "Bob dylan of Detroit" quickly faded into obscuritya fact lamented by bewildered managers and producers who had such high expectations of him.
After a dissapointing stateside response to his works he turned to a modest and humble life as a steelworker in detroit. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to him and his producers, his popularity surged to superstardom in Africa where his music went on to become not only "more popular than elvis" but stirring anthems for solidarity, racial unity and opposition to apartide. His voice was powerful enough to even gain the ire of the south african government who suppressed some of his music.
While his name and notoriety was on par with the beatles, jimmie hendrix and other superstars of the time, he had no idea, made almost no money from record sales and never toured again. Rumors circulated through south africa that he had committed suicide on stage and thus his absence form the world stage. In the late 90's he was discovered to be alive by some of his fans and he was booked to perform in south africa which was to his surprise several sold out arena sized shows.
The film, documenting this detective trail of his fans is catching the filmgoing world with the same enthusiasm he has been receiving in south africa for decades. It is widely regarded as a deeply moving film about the power of music and the beautiful spirit of this musician.
His sun is in cancer, a shy and retiring sign which is sensitive to ones environment and the emotions of those around them. His sun is not far from Jupiter which is powerfully placed in cancer, the sign of it's exaltation where it's effects are best expressed. LA Cop Killer
Christopher Dorner, the LA "Cop Killer" is allegedly dead, burned alive in a house fire and/or gunshot wounds, perhaps self inflicted.
To those that have been watching, hearing or personally witnessing cases of police corruption across the country (particularly in LA and NY), it perhaps comes as little surprise that someone finally retaliated in such an explosive and violent manner. If you have not read his manifesto you may find it interesting to do so before reading (or skimming, rather) this report though it is not necessary. As is often the case with emerging stories like this we don't have an exact birth time and miss out on the crucial aspects to the ascendant and midhaven...
Starting with his gemini sun I see it is strengthened with the sign's planetary ruler, mercury, nearby in a conjunction. This shows someone with an active, thoughtful mind and a personality that is based on thoughts and ideas rather than emotions, habits, sensation, ect . His mercury and sun are both opposite his natal neptune with mercury in almost an exact aspect. This suggests that despite being thoughtful and contemplative there is trouble separating fact from fantasy and clarity and coherence take a back seat to imaginative, sometimes blurry ideas that aren't always grounded or expressed in an understandable way. His communication style is unique and somewhat scattered, a hallmark of this aspect. He has been widely regarded as rambling in his long winded, 6000 word manifesto posted on his Facebook page.

Full Moon Virgo/Libra
As we have probably heard this upcoming Full Moon is a "super-moon" meaning it's as closer to the earth than usual causing the moon to appear larger in the sky and cause higher than normal tides and perhaps increase likelyhood of earthquakes and other natural disasters. Solar Flare activity, which we have been having, also seems to correspond to earth changes so we have a do have a bit of a double-whammy on our hands. Remember though, there are about 5 "super moon's" a year and you have lived through lot's of "supermoons" before.
the moon will Appear to be quite large, especially as it rises over the horizon. The higher it appears in the sky the smaller it will appear. So if you want get a good look at the "Super Moon", go look at it comes up at 7:49PM PST.
The Solstice Full Moon also features the Sun's Conjunction to Uranus as it enters the first degree of Aries. Astrologically speaking, this is a wildcard as Uranus is the God/Planet associated with unpredictability, disruption, chaos as well as Genius, Liberation, collectives, Networks and the Promethean fire of Magic and Technology. Sudden reversals, unusual synchronicities or weird events are part of the Uranian influence at this time.
So as the transiting Sun conjuncts Uranus and "pours out the light into the moon" we could see some dramatic and critical events. That the Moon is at Perigee ("Supermoon") the amplitude of the energetic signature is especially high and emotions will be naturally be effected. Restlessness, nervousness and the feeling of being "Amped up" is common during these times. Sexual and psychic energy is high as well.
