Libra, the peacemaker and socialite of the Zodiac tends to avoid confrontation and disharmony unless it seems absolutely necessary to hang up the phone, put down the cocktail, get off the fainting couch and rush into the fires to regain harmony and equanimity.
This is one of those times when we need to march on in the face of turbulence and change in our lives and find that still point within ourselves and come to a state of balance.
PLUTO VS URANUS
For the past several years there has been an ongoing dance between Pluto and Uranus signaling a time of a great epoch of change, disruption, crisis and hopefully, liberation. Pluto represents power, secrecy, regeneration and resurrection. Uranus on the other hand represents rebellion, personal liberty, eccentricity, sudden change and technology. Both planets can represent both good and evil or 'things we like and things we don't like' and sometimes both negative and positive qualities can be expressed at the same time on different levels.
Since these two came into alignment in 2010, the whole world has been rocked with collapse, revolutions, radicalism and explosiveness culturally and literally. And it's only just getting started. The great Recession, Occupy wall st, Fukishima, NSA spying, meteor strikes, political revolutions, riots, terrorism, dub step music and rampant corruption just about everywhere and anywhere. And now the American Government is shut down, just on the heels of this New Moon aligned to the natal chart of the USA.
All this feels like a critical mass or peak as the New Moon "triggers" the ongoing Uranus-Pluto Square. The New Moon is opposite Uranus and Square Pluto creating what is known as a "T-Square" an aspect pattern of tension and instability. It is like a table with only three legs. The area of instability is wherever the 'missing leg' would be. In this case it's the sign of Cancer which is significant to America as the Natal chart of the US has Sun, Venus and Jupiter in Cancer right in the orb of influence of this conflagration. (see image as visual aid of this phenomenon)
There is another dimension to this time period in which we are likewise triggered or effected, emotionally, socially and psychically (mentally). In our personal lives we may be feeling tense, neurotic, anxious, pent up, angry and crazy. Crisis is brewing somewhere for almost everyone. Like all things, this too shall pass but keep in mind it's when these feelings are brought to the surface that we are able to deal with them and put them to bed, once and for all -that's one of the gifts of Pluto. Use it.
Not everyone will have such a hard time but it should be rather exciting, unconventional and intense on some level. Things initiated now have this "time-stamp" of volatility, power and unpredictability and this may prove tricky for initiating romantic relationships (major Libra theme) unless you are strong and flexible enough to roll with the punches. It might not seem relevant now but these things have a way of slowly growing into something to be reckoned with. To be sure you need to have your chart read by a professional to see just exactly how all this is effecting you.
The new moon leads up to the powerful Full Moon Eclipse in Aries. If you aren't feeling a bit crazy yet just give it somewhere between later today and 14 days from now. The Eclipse should be just as pivotal if not more so and the effects of Eclipses can be felt days and weeks in advance. Some may notice it already.
Those most effected by this New Moon will have planets or points
between 8-13 Degrees cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn).
How does the Full Moon effect me?
Where are we needing to find balance during these exciting and dramatic times? Where are new areas of life being initiated amongst the turbulence? Where should we find or work to achieve truce, peace and harmony in life?
Where this New Moon
occurs in your chart will reveal what area of life will be effected,
changed or challenged. For this you will need to look to your RISING sign. If you don't know
your rising sign you can calculate with the free rising sign calculator at Cafe Astrology. : Rising sign calculator.
As always, this is an exceedingly
brief look at what is going on for each rising sign and does not
take into account a variety of factors that signify other evens in your
life that can mitigate, exaggerate and modify these themes. (Email me to
